What are the responsibilities of an instructional assistant?
An ESS instructional assistant aids the classroom teacher to provide extra support to students in reading and math, promoting maximum academic and personal growth. The instructional assistant’s job responsibilities range from supplementing the regular classroom curriculum to helping individual students.
To work as an instructional assistant in Birmingham City Schools, you must pass all criminal background checks and have a high school diploma/GED or higher. Becoming an instructional assistant for ESS is a simple process.
