Source4Teachers recently awarded its 3rd Annual Impact Award to Bridgeport Public Schools, CT substitute, Stacy-Ann Johnson. $500 super-sized checks were presented to both Stacy-Ann and the school of her choice at an assembly held on November 22nd. Ms. Johnson chose the Black Rock School where she is currently working a Long-Term ESL position. She also received a crystal apple trophy.
Source4Teachers Connecticut recruiter, Beth Salaris, presented the award which was a great success! Principal Herminio Planas, Superintendent Fran Rabinowitz, and Director of Bilingual Education Anna Sousa-Martins were all there to support the adept substitute. Stacy-Ann gave an upbeat “acceptance speech” and then Superintendent Rabinowitz spoke a few words on the positive work Source4Teachers has done in Bridgeport and the value of effective substitutes like Stacy-Ann.

The Source4Teachers Impact Award was created in 2014 to recognize a substitute teacher or school aide based on their total number of days worked in a one-year period, feedback from the district(s) they serve, and a commitment to going above and beyond what’s expected of the substitute role.
