Each month, our partner school districts submit glowing reviews about excellent employees, from which we select one substitute and one permanent employee of the month. We’re pleased to honor our March winners!
Substitute of the Month: Nicole Simpson, Oregon
Nicole has been working with EMS SubDesk (an ESS company) since September 2016. She’s a highly sought after substitute at the David Douglas School District and was nominated by Gilbert Park Elementary School Secretary, Lisa Schlunegger.
“Nicole is always willing to sub, whether it be last minute or long-term jobs. She has come into a classroom a number of times without plans for her to follow, and she just jumps in and can create plans for the day without hesitation. She has also held conferences on a number of occasions. She truly is an exceptional substitute our school employees can rely upon,” said Ms. Schlunegger.
Permanent Employee of the Month: Cindy Friedberg, New Jersey
Cindy has been working as a dedicated ESS | MissionOne classroom aide at the Medford Township School District for the past six years. She currently works at the Taunton Forge Elementary School and was nominated by Dr. Elizabeth Asbury, Supervisor of Instruction.
“Cindy’s participation in Medford’s Kindergarten Parent Information Night elicited an overwhelmingly positive response from the parents who attended the event. It’s wonderful to know we can generate such excitement and confidence about coming to our kindergarten – none of which could be done without dedicated people like Cindy. Her commitment to the kids and to the teachers she works with is a precious gift to Taunton Forge. She puts her heart into all she does, and nothing is ever too much. ‘Thank you’ falls short, but I want to thank Cindy for representing our district, our schools, and our profession so well,” said Dr. Asbury.
Congratulations Nicole & Cindy – keep up the excellent work!
