This week marks one of the best weeks of the year – American Education Week! Dating back to 1921, this tradition is celebrated the week before Thanksgiving each November. This time of year has many of us reflecting on the things we are thankful for. Education is something that has touched all of our lives, and has helped to shape us into the people we are today.
This week is a time to recognize and celebrate the importance of education. It’s also a time to honor and thank the individuals who work tirelessly in our schools and communities to expand students’ minds, ignite their imaginations, and spark within them the confidence to become our next generation of leaders.
American Education Week Schedule:
Monday, November 12: Kickoff Day
Tuesday, November 13: Parents Day
Wednesday, November 14: Education Support Professionals Day
Thursday, November 15: Educator for a Day
Friday, November 16: Substitute Educators Day
This week, and every week, we thank you for your amazing work and dedication. For more information and resources on American Education Week, please visit NEA.org.
