Each month, our partner school districts submit glowing reviews of our employees, from which we select four employees of the month. We’re pleased to recognize our honorees from February 2024!
Molly Foster
Coeur d’Alene Public Schools, ID
Molly Foster was nominated twice this month by colleagues from Northwest Expedition Academy, who had such wonderful things to say about her attitude!
Michelle Olsen, Office Manager, wrote: “I can’t say enough good things about Molly Foster. She shows up to our school with the brightest smile and spreads cheer throughout our building. Molly has subbed in our building many times. She is very flexible and willing to fill in for any position we ask her to. She always checks in before she leaves to ensure we don’t need anything else from her. She jumps in and tackles any project she is given. We love it when Molly is in our building! She enters the building with a warm smile and a friendly attitude. Everyone loves having Molly in our building. She has a contagious spirit! She is our favorite ESS employee!”
Kristen Mysse, the Secretary, wrote: “Molly is AMAZING! She comes into the office to check in with the biggest smile. She does so without hesitation when we have to switch her position at the last minute. Molly is eager to learn multiple positions as she is also in school to become a teacher. In our school, she has been a life skills aide and a resource aide and substituted in multiple grade levels. Teachers in our building have come to us multiple times saying what a magnificent job she does, and we have many who request her to be their sub. We had an opportunity for her to take over a classroom as a long-term sub, and she jumped. She balances work/school life with ease, and we can’t wait until she is finished with school so we can snag her as one of our teachers! Thank you, Molly, for being such a bright light!”
Thelma Massey
Lincoln County R-III Schools, MO
Thelma Massey was nominated by Kimberly Marksberry, Educational Office Professional at Ninth Grade Center, who wrote: “Ms. Massey is a wonderful substitute! She is kind, hardworking, reliable, caring, helpful, and so much more. We really enjoy when she’s at NGC, and teachers and paras both request her to sub for them. She will move around and help wherever she’s needed. Some subs do not like to be split up and moved all around, but Ms. Massey understands that we need it due to severe shortages sometimes. She will do her best to help at all times! She is also really good with the students and will follow the teacher’s sub plans to make sure the students don’t fall behind. This is one reason why she is requested by name to sub! Thank you for all your hard work subbing at NGC!”
Luz De Jesus Acevedo
Fairlawn Public Schools, NJ
Luz De Jesus Acevedo was nominated by Nancy Schwindt, Principal at Memorial Middle School, who wrote: “I am thrilled to recommend Luz De Jesus Acevedo for Employee of the Month. Miss De Jesus Acevedo, or as the students fondly call her, Miss Luz, has proven to be an invaluable member of our school community, consistently putting the needs of our students first.
Reliability, kindness, and professionalism are just a few of Miss Luz’s outstanding qualities. Her friendly face and welcoming demeanor make her a favorite among students, who often go out of their way to fist bump her in the hallway. She never shies away from a challenge and has recently demonstrated her dedication in a remarkable way.
When a World Language teacher was out for an extended period due to personal reasons, Miss Luz stepped in. Her proficiency in Spanish ensured that instruction continued seamlessly in these classes. We are incredibly grateful for her willingness to take on this responsibility and for the positive impact she has had on our students’ learning experiences.
Thank you, Miss Luz, for your unwavering commitment to our school community. Your dedication, kindness, and professionalism are truly commendable.”
