ESS was recently spotlighted on Fox29 Philadelphia for its innovative partnership with Cherry Hill School District, recruiting parents to address teacher shortages. This program has enabled parents to step into substitute roles, ensuring classrooms continue to thrive.
Michelle Pacitti, a Cherry Hill parent featured in the segment, shared her journey. “I received an email from the District saying they needed subs, and I thought, ‘This is exactly what we might need,’” she said. With the support of ESS, Pacitti embraced the role and now contributes to her community while maintaining a flexible schedule.
“Our programs work best when the local community is involved,” said Brian Engle, ESS Vice President of Operations. He highlighted how initiatives like this help address the growing demand for substitutes nationwide.
Cherry Hill Superintendent Dr. Kwame Morton praised the program, calling it a “win-win” for schools and the community. The success of this initiative has sparked discussions about expanding it to other districts in New Jersey.
