Welcome. ESS has partnered with Alpine School District to manage its substitute teacher and substitute teacher assistant program and WE’RE HIRING!

If you’re interested in working up to 40 hours a week in education, this is the perfect opportunity for you. With 91 schools in the district and the need for hundreds of substitutes each day, there are plenty of opportunities for you to work as frequently as you’d like.

Whether you’re a recent college graduate looking to work your way into a full-time teaching position, a retired teacher interested in getting back into the classroom, or anyone looking to make a positive contribution to the development of children, ESS has a place for you.

We offer excellent employee perks, including health benefits, training, support, weekly pay, 401(k), bonus opportunities, award programs, and more. Plus, working as a substitute is extremely flexible – when, where, and how often you work is entirely up to you.

To work as a substitute teacher or a teacher assistant in Alpine School District, you must have passed all criminal background checks, attend a training class, and be able to provide evidence of a high school diploma/GED or higher education.

Returning Substitutes
We’d love to have you on our team!

We encourage all current Alpine School District substitutes to continue your important services to the district next school year by becoming an employee of ESS. In order to process your application properly, we will need to collect your transcript so we can ensure you are paid the appropriate amount for each assignment you work.

Additionally, please plan to attend one of our upcoming orientation sessions where you’ll learn everything you need to know about transitioning to ESS. Please register for a live online Zoom orientation.

Upcoming Virtual Orientation Sessions:
Wednesday, September 16 | 2:30 pm
Wednesday, September 23 | 2:30 pm
