After receiving over 1,600 submissions nationwide, we couldn’t be more excited to announce the 2023 ESS Art Contest winners! We asked K-12 students to create original artwork representing the theme: “If you could take a school field trip anywhere, where would you go?”
Seven ESS judges scored each submission based on artistic and technical skill, originality, adherence to theme and requirements, unique approach, and creativity of title. Five finalists were selected based on the highest average scores from the judges. Each winning student across four grade groups (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) received a $500 gift card, a custom ESS Moleskine sketchpad, plus $500 for their school.
