7 Random Acts of Kindness to Foster a Positive Classroom Environment

Random Acts of Kindness Day is observed on February 17th each year. This day, and every day, provides an opportunity for everyone to come together to make our world a better place. Did you know that by providing a random act of kindness, the recipient is not the only one who benefits from your decision? Random acts of kindness can be good for our mental health, as well as, reduce stress and improve our emotional well-being. A little will go a long way for everyone involved!

Offer Help

At school, there will always be someone who needs help. Lend a helping hand when you can to make their life just a little easier.

Give A Compliment

A compliment a day keeps the frowns away!

Be Inclusive

Invite others to collaborate on a classroom project or join the fun at recess.

Use Your Manners

A simple please or thank you show a great deal of respect. Manners also reflect an attitude of consideration for others.

Spread Compassion

Recognize that someone may be dealing with something challenging, and offer your empathy.

Celebrate Successes

Recognize when a classmate makes a positive choice or shares an epic idea.

Be Kind

Make kindness the norm. Choose to be kind, even in difficult moments.
