Each month, our partner school districts submit glowing reviews about excellent Source4Teachers and MissionOne employees, from which we select an employee of the month from each organization. We’re pleased to honor our April winners!
Source4Excellence Winner: Cynthia Kennedy, GA
Cynthia signed on with Source4Teachers in August 2016, during our transition of the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. Since then, she’s worked a grand total of 133 days – nearly every possible day of the 2016/17 school year! With a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, Cynthia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her job. She was nominated by DeRenne Middle School’s Assistant Principal, Marilyn Hutchinson.
“Cynthia Kennedy is a unique blend of professionalism and dedication. As a member of our “extended family,” she is dependable, caring, and attends to duties responsibly. She understands the importance of confidentiality, positive communications, collegial collaborations, and interacting with students. She is supportive of school initiatives and often volunteers her services during times that would otherwise be a break during planning periods. She is well-received by teachers and often requested for their classrooms during absences. She’s flexible, hard-working, and much appreciated,” said Hutchinson.
Mission of Excellence Winner: Emilio Biello, NJ
A dedicated MissionOne classroom aide for the Pittsgrove Township School District, Emilio works in a BD classroom at Olivet Elementary School. He was nominated by TWO different people at his school – Behavioral Disabilities Teacher, Kelly Lach, and 5th Grade Teacher, Patricia Jankauskas.
“Mr. Biello, or Mr. B, as he is better known throughout our school, is a blessing to have here at Olivet Elementary School. He is always offering to help, assists with students’ behaviors and activities, and performs many other acts and responsibilities well beyond the description of his job. Mr. B currently works in a special education classroom that not only teaches 3rd to 5th grade curriculum, but also delivers services such as behavior modification, crisis support, and positive behavior lessons and workshops. He never falters to provide or assist with any of these services and procedures and is a true asset to not only the classroom and teachers he works with, but also to the many male students he assists and mentors throughout the school day. It has always been a comfort as well as a pleasure to know Emilio Biello is in my classroom with me everyday. He is truly is an exceptional example of a MissionOne employee,” said Lach.
“Emilio is so great with the children. He has the patience of a saint. Emilio is also willing to do whatever is asked of him,” said Jankauskas.
Congratulations Cynthia and Emilio – and keep up the excellent work!
