Each month, our partner school districts submit glowing reviews of our employees, from which we select two employees of the month. We’re pleased to recognize our honorees from December 2018!
Albert Mackey, PA
Signing on as an ESS substitute in January 2016, Albert has worked 600 assignments at various PA school districts. He currently serves as a Building-Based Substitute at the Big Spring Middle School. He was nominated by the ESS program coordinator for Big Spring School District, Sharon Hoover, who wrote, “Albert’s dedication and flexibility show his total commitment to the students at Big Spring. He has yet to miss a day of work this school year, and last school year he didn’t miss one single day. He has no issues with being moved from the middle school to the high school or any of the elementary schools when needed, and staying the extra hour if placed at an elementary.”
Marcus Tollefson, OR
Marcus just started working as an ESS substitute at the beginning of this school year and has already made a huge impact at the Hillsboro School District! He was nominated by the office manager at Liberty High School, Richelle Hall, who wrote, “Marcus Tollefson was in our school on 12/3. We had a very unusual day where we had to go into lockdown because of a possible threat in a classroom. Little did Mr. Tollefson know, the student in question was in his classroom. As the whole school was in lockdown, the officers came into the school with their weapons drawn and entered into Mr. Tollefson’s classroom. Mr. Tollefson was a great example to students and staff on how to remain calm and follow the officer’s directions.”
Congratulations Albert & Marcus – keep up the excellent work!
