The ESS Bucks County team participated in a cake donation event through Baking Smiles Inc., a non-profit organization that provides free birthday cookie cakes to under-privileged children throughout Pennsylvania. ESS Recruiter Irene Ofori delivered cakes to the Trevose YWCA Shelter on Wednesday, July 11th. From here, they will be distributed to families throughout the Trevose and Bensalem area.
According to the Baking Smiles website, a recent report from the PA Department of Education stated that more than 19,000 children are homeless in the state of Pennsylvania. Baking smiles believes that ALL children should experience the simple joy of celebrating their birthday – and we couldn’t agree more!
