ESS Read Across America Celebration
ESS Read Across America

At ESS, we believe in enhancing student achievement – which is why we’re so excited to get involved with Read Across America this year! Read Across America is a chance to celebrate the joys of reading and bring awareness to the importance of literacy in education. We’ll be celebrating all week in our offices and on our social media pages, and we encourage you to join in on the fun!

Barnes & Noble Gift Card Give Away on Facebook

We’re kicking off the celebration with an exciting opportunity on Facebook to win a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card! To participate, simply comment on our Read Across America post, sharing your favorite children’s book and why it’s special to you. We will randomly select one lucky winner every day this week!

Corporate Employee Spotlight on Instagram

Meanwhile, on Instagram, we’re going to spotlight one of our corporate team members each day of Read Across America week with their favorite childhood story. You just might see that your favorite children’s book is one of ours too!

Children’s Book Drive

Finally, ESS is proudly sponsoring a children’s book drive at our Cherry Hill, NJ office. We’re collecting new and gently used children’s books geared toward PreK to 6th-grade levels. Donated books will go to BookSmiles, an organization that helps spread literacy to children in New Jersey and Philadelphia.

Want to get involved?

You’re welcome to drop off book donations at our Cherry Hill office!

Monday, March 2nd – Friday, March 13th
9:00 am – 4:00 pm

800 Kings Highway North, Suite 405
Cherry Hill, NJ 08034

If you’re not in the area, don’t fret – you can mail books to the above address, or you can drop off books to the ESS office nearest you. The local team will make sure they find a good home in one of our partnering school districts!

We look forward to celebrating Read Across America with you this week. No matter how you decide to honor the holiday, be sure to pick up a good book and experience the wonder of reading!

Bonus: Here are some fun read-aloud activities you can do in the classroom!
