Congratulations to Our January Employees of the Month!

Each month, our partner school districts submit glowing reviews of our employees, from which we select four employees of the month. We’re pleased to recognize our honorees from January 2023!

Paula Sporn
Herber Springs Schools, AR

Paula was nominated by Anna Brock, Secretary at Herber Springs High School, who wrote: “Paula has been a dependable substitute at our school for many years. She is always requested by our math department because she is able to consistently teach the math lessons so that our students understand them. We appreciate that she comes to after-school activities (band, athletics, etc.) to show support for our students. She always shows up with a smile on her face, and is willing to go with the flow. Our teachers, staff, and students have all benefitted in one way or another from the wisdom that Dr. Sporn shares with all of us.”

Regina Ford
Clarke County School District, GA

Regina was nominated by Nick Hussain, Interim Principal at Hilsman Middle School, who wrote: “Ms. Ford has been a substitute at Hilsman Middle School since August 2022. She has substitute taught in multiple sixth grade positions that have allowed her to build strong relationships with our students. They see her as a teacher, and respond to her as such. Ms. Ford plans with her fellow teachers and eagerly participates in all teacher activities, including afternoon bus duty. She deserves recognition for the hard work she has put forth to further the academic achievement of our students, while supporting the educators on her grade level, just as any other teacher would do. We’re grateful for Ms. Ford and her dedication to Hilsman Middle School and our students!”

Shenaya Brown
Central Consolidated School District, NM

Shenaya was nominated by Kathy Smiley, Food Service Financial Secretary at Shiprock High School, who wrote: “I would like to nominate Shenaya Brown. She is a substitute here with Food Services. Shenaya has effectively trained herself to work and communicate with staff very well. She has even operated the Food Service office independently. Shenaya has developed and implemented warehouse orders from the kitchen managers and follows all the food service guidelines. She is a good person, very friendly and easy to supervise.”

Marissa Ware-Haug
Seguin ISD, TX

Marissa was nominated by Celeste DeLaCruz, Administrative Assistant at Patlan Elementary School, who wrote: “Mrs. Ware-Haug has always conducted herself in a professional manner on our campus. She arrives on time, is flexible, and helps in any way she can. She has been a substitute for all grade levels and has been able to manage the classroom effectively while working to complete all lesson plans. She even offers to help in other areas during her conference times. Most of all, I personally appreciate that she calls us when she works a half day to see if we have a need for the other half. She has saved us several times from not having a teacher in the classroom!”

Congratulations and keep up the excellent work!
