Each month, our partner school districts submit glowing reviews of our employees, from which we select four employees of the month. We’re pleased to recognize our honorees from June 2024!
Gina Greco
Brookfield Public Schools, CT
Gina Greco was nominated twice this month by colleagues from Candlewood Lake Elementary School, who all praised her for being such an asset.
Phoebe Goetz, ABA Paraprofessional, wrote: “I’d like to nominate Gina Greco for ESS employee of the month as someone who shined at Candlewood Lake Elementary School. She jumped right into her role in special education and ELC classrooms. She immediately excelled in an ABA position, which can be challenging. She loves CLES and the students and uses her experience here to propel herself into a future teaching role. I hope you consider her for the nomination!”
Ashley Goetz, ABA Paraprofessional, wrote: “Gina has been an amazing asset to Candlewood Lake Elementary School! She works one-on-one with our special needs students and has connected with all the students and staff in our room. Whenever she’s not here, everyone asks, ‘Where is Ms. Gina?!’ She is responsible, reliable, and able to handle the everyday stresses of the job. She can adapt to any situation and needs minimal direction, which is refreshing!”
Bianchy Llanos
Chelsea Public Schools, MA
Bianchy Llanos was nominated by Lisa Lineweaver, Principal at Kelly Elementary, who wrote: “Bianchy acts like and feels like a member of the Kelly Elementary team. She’s done several longer stints subbing in the main office — which is not an easy role! She has also supported our first and second-grade classes, including stepping in as a paraprofessional when the classroom paraprofessional stepped up to sub for a maternity leave. Whether in English or Spanish, Bianchy communicates care and high expectations to students and adults alike … and the kids reciprocate. At the end of her first day, kids were already calling her ‘my teacher’ and asking if she’d be back tomorrow — and that was true of teachers, who clamor to have her support anytime a para or colleague needs to be out!
Bianchy is aware, proactive, and resourceful. Teachers have praised how she reads the room and almost seems to read their minds! We have appreciated having Bianchy in our classrooms this year!”
Sterling Claytor
Robertson County Schools, TN
Sterling Claytor was nominated by Tiffany Hyde, Principal at Coopertown Elementary School, who wrote: “Coopertown Elementary School can count on Mr. Claytor to be present and willing to cover any area in our building. He goes above and beyond to build relationships with our students, teachers, and staff. He is a huge encourager to everyone around him. He is committed to CES and being at work each day. He is one of us, and we are extremely grateful that he chooses to be here every day when he could be anywhere.”
Karen Diggs-Parker
Isle of Wight County Schools, VA
Karen Diggs-Parker was nominated by Arnica Walker, Bookkeeper at Georgie Tyler Middle School, who wrote: “Mrs. Karen Diggs-Parker deserves recognition as she treats the pupils at Georgie Tyler Middle School so well. She has the utmost compassion. She never let the fact that the students could be challenging at times stop her from carrying out her job. Often, she would be early for school and volunteer to help in other classes during planning. Seeing her name as a substitute makes me sincerely grateful. Thank you, Mrs. Diggs-Parker.”
