At ESS, our strength lies in our phenomenal team, and we’re proud to recognize those who lead by example. Each month, our partner school districts submit glowing reviews of our employees, from which we select four employees of the month. We believe in celebrating the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our team members who go above and beyond in their roles. We are thrilled to recognize our June Employees of the Month!

Henrietta Pruiett, paraprofessional, who wrote: “Mrs. Mitchell will do whatever the job calls for. She has a pleasant personality, and the scholars love her. Mrs. Mitchell gets along well with other teachers and paras. She’s a jewel!”
Genett Scott, teacher, who wrote: “Ms. Mitchell is kind and supportive of the children. She’s very patient with all the children in the school, and I enjoy working with her. She has a pleasant personality and is willing to do whatever you ask. She can also see what needs to be done without being asked. She would be the perfect employee of the month for ESS.”
Jasmine Thompson, teacher, who wrote: “Ms. Mitchell has been a valuable asset to our Pre-K classroom and overall school environment. Her warm and nurturing approach helped our young learners feel comfortable and engaged from the moment she stepped in. She adapted to our classroom routines, provided consistent support, and maintained a calm, positive environment. Ms. Mitchell demonstrated a strong understanding of early childhood development and used thoughtful strategies to guide and encourage student learning. Her contributions have had a profoundly meaningful impact on our classroom and school community. She has come to volunteer on days she wasn’t scheduled to work. For example, she attended our class moving forward ceremony in support of teachers and students on a day she was not scheduled to work. This action alone demonstrates her dedication and commitment to our scholars.”
Tracey Lange
Gallup-McKinley County Schools, NM
Tracey Lange was nominated by Marlene Velasquez, principal at Ramah Elementary School, who wrote: “Mrs. Lange substituted for our fifth-grade class. Initially, she wanted to commit to a few days a week, but she felt sorry for our students. The teacher left in February, and Mrs. Lange put the students’ needs before her own so that she could commit to subbing for the rest of the school year. She prepares on her own time over the weekend. She comes in on Monday morning to request copies of materials, ensuring the students are prepared and have access to a quality education. Mrs. Lange has spent her own money on awards and fun learning activities to keep students engaged. We are grateful to have had such a dedicated substitute this year.”
