At ESS, impact starts with people who understand that consistency, culture, and clarity matter just as much as creativity. Breana Haines embodies that mindset every day as the Social Media Specialist at ESS.
From Classroom Teacher to Social Media Specialist
As the Social Media Specialist at ESS, Breana approaches her work with strategy and creative precision. She balances big-picture vision with pixel-perfect execution. As a former educator, Breana translates ESS’s purpose into relatable, meaningful messaging. She spent 10 years teaching with Duval County Public Schools, which gives her a deep understanding of classroom realities. She uses that insight to create authentic content and campaigns that resonate with substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff, and educators alike.
Using Social Media to Support Substitute Teacher Recruitment
In her role at ESS, a substitute teacher and management solution company, Breana serves as both a brand amplifier and curator. She develops platform-specific content across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram, ensuring messaging resonates with the full spectrum of education professionals. From recruitment campaigns to morale-boosting Fun Friday posts and large-scale initiatives like the ESS Art Contest, her work brings the ESS mission to life in ways that feel human, relevant, and consistent.
A Competitive Mindset Beyond the Office
Her approach to brand and culture draws heavily from experiences beyond the office. Outside of ESS, Breana is a pivotal member of the Florida Avengers, Florida’s premier women’s tackle football team and proud franchise of the Women’s National Football Conference, for which Breana has been recognized as a four-time All-Pro. With more than a decade of high-level competition, she brings the mindset of a seasoned veteran who continues to lead by example. As a captain and offensive leader who plays tight end and offensive tackle, she leads by example and demonstrates that discipline, preparation, and execution drive success.
Building Culture Through Storytelling and Leadership
Breana’s story meets at the intersection of education, marketing, storytelling, and athletics. Affectionately known as “Teach” to her teammates, Breana serves as a leader and creative engine for the Florida Avengers. She works closely with the owner, Kim Phillips, to manage their marketing and social media presence. She leads brand voice, content strategy, announcements, and merchandise concepts with the same intentionality she brings to ESS. Her work elevates women’s football and the Florida Avengers by spotlighting rookies, honoring veterans and moving the game forward for future generations. She brings their stories to life while helping build a culture rooted in respect, opportunity, and long-term impact.
Shared Values in the Classroom and on the Field

Sara Fernandez, Nathan King, and Breana Haines
The ESS and Florida Avengers connection does not stop with Breana. Nathan King, the Defensive Coordinator for the Florida Avengers, was a former ESS substitute teacher. Nathan is now a certified teacher with Duval County Public Schools. Similarly, Sara Fernandez, a second-year wide receiver, is a current substitute teacher with ESS. Aside from their shared interest in education and football, the common force that rings true for Breana, Nathan, and Sara is that in the classroom, on the field, or in the community, the same principles apply: show up prepared, lead with intention, and commit to excellence.
A Culture Builder at ESS
No matter the setting, a clear throughline emerges for Breana: standards over shortcuts, culture over clout, and impact over recognition. Simply put, Breana “Teach” Haines is a culture builder—on the field, online, and within ESS. Her work is a reminder that impact is never accidental. It is intentional, disciplined, and built on standards.
