Each month, our partner school districts submit glowing reviews of our employees, from which we select two employees of the month. We’re pleased to honor our winners from September 2018!
Dawn Bachman, Florida
Dawn signed on with ESS in August 2017 during our implementation with the Putnam County School District. Since then she’s proven to be one of our most reliable substitutes, working a total of 166 assignments at the Interlachen Elementary School.
She was nominated by Susan Markel, a fourth grade teacher at Interlachen, who wrote, “Dawn has made a connection with so many of our students at IES. The students ask for her by name. She always follows my lesson plans exactly and has the knowledge to be able to help the students with their work. She makes sure that all paperwork (a ton for departmentalized elementary school classes) is done and done correctly. She always leaves notes about my classes and never has a problem with classroom management. She is an absolutely Grade A substitute and will always be my first choice.”
Ellen Read, New Mexico
Ellen joined our team this past summer during our implementation with Deming Public Schools. She was quickly appointed to her current role as a long-term special education teacher for the Bataan Elementary School, where she provides important services to students with special needs every day.
She was nominated by the principal of Bataan School, Ivy Baca, who wrote, “Ellen is an extremely hard worker. She took on the role of Special Education Teacher on the first day of school. She has worked diligently to make sure students’ IEP goals are being met. She attends IEP meetings and regularly meets with the general education teachers. She has gone above and beyond to build positive relationships with all of the students and staff. Bataan Elementary School is lucky to have Ellen as part of our team.“
Congratulations Dawn & Ellen – keep up the excellent work!
