Our Proximity Learning division connects the most highly qualified, certified teachers with school districts in need through a virtual synchronous model.
It has pioneered virtual learning by connecting highly qualified certified teachers to school districts in need through an interactive instruction model. This live, online instruction has helped schools nationwide overcome the teacher shortage by surpassing geographical location boundaries.
The company employs over 1,200 certified teachers and has access to more than 15,000 college graduates and qualified instructors. Proximity Learning uses an interactive and rigorous curriculum that supports state standards while providing a quality education program through innovative technology. Proximity Learning offers three programs.
Virtual Instruction
Through high-quality, blended, online learning, students can receive virtual instruction in a classroom setting. Proximity Learning creates course content that helps students succeed while customizing the daily schedule to coincide with school bell schedules and calendars.
Virtual Tutoring
Proximity Learning offers flexible, scheduled, and on-demand tutoring for students of all ages. These services empower struggling students to achieve academic success and beyond. These tutoring schedules can occur in weekly live tutoring sessions, virtual on-demand sessions, and chat-only on-demand sessions. Students will also have access to the Proximity Learning Educational Support System.
Virtual School
Proximity Learning’s technology-based platform allows school districts to offer educational opportunities outside of the traditional classroom setting, allowing students to receive a quality education from a certified teacher while meeting their needs.

PSI offers various services to charter schools, including school health, social, emotional, and behavioral health support, as well as special education support. The company tailors solutions to each school's and child's unique needs, helping students improve their grades, attitudes, health, and behavior.
ESS developed two advanced web-based absence management software solutions, willSub and willsub+, to offer school districts additional options and simplify the absence process for administrators, school staff, and substitutes.

Administrators
- Customize schedules for each employee on a day-by-day basis, including unique start times, end times, and break times.
- Assign specific GL codes per employee and per absence type, ensuring each absence is funded from the correct source.
- Establish approval processes for supplemental substitute requests in addition to requests for absence coverage.
School Staff
- Always get your favorite substitutes with dynamic preferred lists – if a teacher’s preferred substitute isn’t available, the system automatically moves to the school’s preferred list.
- Allow your school staff to see their remaining PTO balances broken out by PTO type, or choose to only display PTO that’s been used so far.
- Give teachers the full picture of their absences by displaying canceled absences in addition to regular absence information.
Substitutes
- Increase fill rates as your substitutes accept more positions through free smartphone apps.
- Notify substitutes about assignments via text, email, online alerts, and mobile notifications with convenient options to accept positions to increase the chances of coverage.
