We are pleased to announce that Santa Fe Public Schools has appointed ESS to manage its substitute program. We sincerely hope you will continue to substitute for the District by joining the ESS family.

We cannot thank the Santa Fe Public Schools substitutes enough for stepping in at a moment’s notice to ensure the District’s students experience continuity in academic and support services.

To continue to work as a substitute within Santa Fe Public Schools, you must be employed by ESS.

How Can I Learn More and Apply with ESS?

The onboarding process consists of three easy steps, and the ESS team will be there to support you every step of the way.

Step 1: Sign Up and Attend a Virtual Onboarding Meeting

At this meeting, you’ll learn everything you need to know about transitioning to ESS. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with ESS employees, ask questions, learn about the company, and hear about all the fantastic perks available

Click the Schedule a Virtual Onboard Meeting button below to sign up for a meeting. You will be contacted about setting up a Zoom meeting to verify I-9 documents.

Step 2: Apply Online and Complete Your Application

Click the Application – Apply button below to apply through our user-friendly online application. If additional information is needed during the application process, an ESS team member will be assigned to you after you apply.

Step 3: Attend an In-Person I-9 Processing & Photo ID Session

At this session, you will need to provide your proper forms of ID for I-9 verification and have your photo taken for your ESS badge.

Please ensure you bring the proper forms of ID to this I-9 processing session for verification. Click here for a list of the proper forms of ID for I-9 verification. Also, be sure you’ve completed your digital I-9 form during your application process before attending this meeting.

If you’re new to Santa Fe Public Schools and interested in working as a substitute teacher or support staff starting in the fall, Apply Now! Becoming a substitute is an exciting and rewarding way to give back to your community and make a difference in students’ lives.

Kickstart Incentive
Through the Kickstart Incentive, ESS will compensate up to $125 to new substitutes for some of the costs required to get properly credentialed.
